Shuttle for Guests

If you have out of town guests, it is a nice gesture to provide shuttle service for them especially if the ceremony and reception sites are far apart. Chartering transportation for guests also allow guests to enjoy the reception and not worry about drinking and driving. Here are some guidelines on how to arrange shuttle service:

Convenience-Make sure this shuttle service is convenient for your guests. It should be communicated to the guests, where the shuttle will leave from and at what time. You don’t want any guests to be left behind and you don’t want them confused about where transportation will pick up and drop them off.

Allow enough time for travel-You may have traveled back and forth to your venues a dozen times and think the whole tip will take 20 minutes, but will a shuttle bus take the same route as cars do? Factor in all these scenarios to ensure that guests arrive at your wedding on time.

Get an accurate count- Don’t over or underestimate the guest count. The last thing you want is to not have adequate space for everyone. If the shuttle has to make additional trips, this may also mean more money for you to pay up.

Pay Up- Sort out payment issues preferably before the day of the wedding. However, on the day of don’t forget to tip the driver(s) for a job well done.

Getting Guests to Share Wedding Photos

On the most memorable day of your life you want to see all the pictures that were taken, right? So how do you get guests to share their pictures? Many brides create accounts on photo sharing websites to have guests upload pictures, but the problem with that is....no one ever does. Well Kedai has come up with the ultimate solution. Now you can have your guests share their pictures with you on the very same day with a simple hook up to a kedai photo kiosk (KPK). You can rent a KPK for your event and save yourself the headache of sending endless reminders to guests begging to see pictures they took.

They are more dynamic than a photobooth, light years ahead of the disposable camera movement, and their screen makes sharing highly interactive & fun, instead of being assigned to a task that is nearly always procrastinated-upon once the wedding’s over.

THEY ARE OFFERING A SPECIAL:

Before fully releasing the (KPK) to the general public, they are strongly committed to testing it with several brides in the next few weeks and are therefore offering it at a 50% discount at all weddings taking place prior to Memorial Day Weekend.

Children and Weddings

Many brides voice their opinions about children at their weddings, they basically don't want screaming and crying disrupting their ceremony or reception.
The reality is that younger children are easily bored at these formal events. They get restless and impatient (as do some adults).
When children start getting out of control it places burden on their parents who in turn as to watch their every move or remove them if they become disruptive.
However, informal weddings done in a small setting or at a family home tend to be more kid friendly.

How do you solve the problem of the disruptive children?

1) DO NOT invite children
This is not always possible, as close family always insist on bringing their children or children are often included in the bridal party.

2) Entertain them
Plan ahead for the children that will be present at the wedding by hiring a babysitter. A babysitter can watch the children at a designated location. The bride can create customized coloring books for the children or they can play games and do a line-up of activities.

If parents can be assured that their children are being watched by a qualified individual, they can relax and have a good time.
Not only will parents get to enjoy the festivities, but the bride and groom will have a wedding free of disruptive children.

What do you think about children at weddings?

Mistakes Guests Will Make

There will be guests that act inappropriate, make requests or even simply be rude at your wedding or days leading up to your wedding. What can you do? This is your wedding, people can make suggestions but in the end it is your dream and your style that you will incorporate into your wedding. Your wedding day will go by quickly, don’t let the little things bother you.

Here are a few mistakes guests make:

1-Not sending RSVPs.
What is so hard in this? I will never figure it out. You were provided with an addressed envelope and a stamp----just drop it in the mail!

2-Sending RSVPs with extra guests
Weddings are expensive! If I didn’t invite you, don’t invite yourself.

3-Buy Non-Registry Gift
As much as all gifts are appreciated, I took the time out to register for a gift can you not buy something else because you “think” I would like that better …lol

4-Show up late
Guests will do this. It is very rude, but again, don’t let it bother you

5-Bring a Big Gift to the Wedding
All gifts are appreciated but send it to my house or give it to me at the shower.

6-Unexpected Toasts
Leave the toasting to the Best Man and the Maid of Honor

7-Requesting Songs
Let the DJ do his job. This is not your party, do not put in special requests

8-Drinking too much
Know your limit. Yes, it is an open bar, but we don’t want you acting crazy and ruining the night.
